As 2024 comes to a close, we at Roam & Wonder want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had. What started as a simple idea, originally known as "Cotswolds Hiking Retreat", has blossomed into something far greater than we ever imagined. Thanks to the growing interest, unwavering support, and vibrant community, we have evolved into Roam & Wonder – a brand that now encompasses luxury hiking retreats and community walks. From Humble Beginnings to Big Adventures 🥾🌿
When we launched "Cotswolds Hiking Retreat", the goal was simple: to create a space where people could escape their daily grind, reconnect with nature, and form meaningful connections. Little did we know, this vision would resonate so deeply with our guests. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and with every retreat, our community grew stronger and more passionate. Seeing the incredible response to the evolving community and taking learnings from the first retreats, we felt it was time to expand - "Roam & Wonder" was born – a reimagined venture that combines the tranquility of nature with the indulgence of luxury.
Our retreats now take place in more locations across the UK, all with lush gardens, swimming pool and/or sauna, and spacious living areas, they're the perfect setting for relaxation after a day of breathtaking hikes.
Highlights of 2024
This year has been nothing short of extraordinary. Here are some of the highlights that have made 2024 unforgettable:
Luxury Retreats: We’ve hosted retreats in our stunning luxury accommodation in the beautiful Cotswolds village of Painswick. Whether it was enjoying stunning hikes through rolling hills or unwinding in the heated pool, enjoying the delicious food, or getting to know fellow guests, every retreat has been unique and memorable.
Community Walks: Beyond our retreats, we’ve introduced community walks that allow us to connect with even more people. These walks have been an incredible way to bring together locals and visitors alike, fostering friendships and shared love for the great outdoors and will now be partnering with other local businesses and organisations along the way!
Expanding Horizons: Roam & Wonder has ventured beyond the Cotswolds, exploring the Midlands and Wales. These new locations have added even more variety to our adventures and we know so many of you are excited about what's coming up.
