Free Community Walks
At Roam & Wonder, we believe in the joy of being outdoors and the power of community. Our free community walks are open to everyone who enjoys getting outside, moving their body, and spending time with good people.
We host relaxed, welcoming walks across Gloucestershire, the Midlands, the Cotswolds, Wales, and North Devon, with a mix of shorter strolls and longer hikes to suit different abilities. Along the way, there’s time to chat, take in the scenery, and usually stop for coffee and cake — often finishing at a local pub for those who fancy it.
All walks are inclusive and open to anyone who feels comfortable with the distance. We also offer family-friendly routes with shorter options for little legs.

Sunday 27th September - Malvern Hills - FULLY BOOKED
(Was originally Saturday 26th but we have had to change the date)
Start time: 10am
Distance: approx 11 miles / 18 km
Elevation Gain: 2300ft
Starting location: North Malvern
A very challenging walk. We will do this the opposite way to how we have previously, starting through the woods, which is challenging under foot and with steep inclines. Over the top of the hills to enjoy and afternoon taking in the glorious views over the summits.
You must be comfortable with hills, unsteady ground and walking at a constant steady pace.
THIS WALK WILL BE CAPPED AT A SMALL NUMBER

Distance: approx 5 miles / 8 km
Elevation Gain: 700ft
Starting location: Elkstone Studios
A gentle route from the studios, along country roads, through fields and through the charming Elkstone village before heading back to Elkstone Studios.
Sunday 11th October - Elkstone
Saturday 17th October - South Cerney Lakes
Start time: 1pm prompt start
Distance: approx 4 miles / 6.5 km
Elevation Gain: 300ft
Starting location: Gateway Cafe
This gentle walk will take us along the lakes, canal and rivers. We will finish at the Gateway Cafe for any one who wants to grab a coffee and cake afterwards. It may be a bit soggy underfoot if it’s been raining!
Gateway Cafe will be giving all members the Cotswold Collective discount at the till.
